Connector plans and usage limits
For AI agents: use the documentation index. This page is also available as Markdown.
OAuth connector access is included with eligible Research, Starter, Pro and Intel accounts. A cancelled, locked or administratively disabled account can lose access. Your AI application's own plan and administrator permissions also apply.
Plan access
| Plan | Connector scope | Monthly successful-tool allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Research | Public research, own company profile and matches, usage and research shortlist | 1,000 shared across the account |
| Starter | Research tools plus existing pursuit and win/loss reads; no pursuit creation or editing | 1,000 shared across the account |
| Pro | Research, pursuit reads and permitted pursuit creation, updates and notes | No monthly connector cap; rate limits still apply |
| Intel | Pro connector tools plus contracting people and pre-RFP signal search | No monthly connector cap; rate limits still apply |
Actual tools are the intersection of your plan, approved OAuth scopes and account settings. The connector's people and pre-RFP search tools require Intel. This tool-specific rule is distinct from the Pro web application's Early Signals feature. Research does not include the full web application or its Pursuit Board. See the tool reference.
Billing choices
Research costs $79/month, one active user, with no trial or setup fee.
New Starter, Pro and Intel accounts can pay $1 for a 30-day trial, card required, then renew on their chosen cadence until cancelled:
| Plan | Monthly renewal | One-time monthly setup | First monthly bill after trial | Annual renewal, no setup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, up to 2 users | $300/month | $900 | $1,200 | $3,000/year |
| Pro, up to 5 users | $700/month | $2,000 | $2,700 | $7,000/year |
| Intel, up to 15 users | $1,800/month | $5,250 | $7,050 | $15,000/year |
Monthly setup is deferred until the first monthly payment after the trial, not permanently waived. Later monthly bills contain the recurring plan rate. Amounts exclude applicable tax and separately purchased add-ons. Existing subscriptions keep their terms; existing demos retain their original tier's sale rate and remaining trial when adding a card. Check the selected terms at pricing and checkout before paying.
What uses the monthly allowance
OAuth tool calls reserve a slot while running. Successful tool calls count, except connection_usage, which does not consume the monthly allowance. Tool discovery and protocol handshakes do not spend it either. Normal tool failures are refunded. An interrupted server process can leave a conservative reservation, so the displayed used count includes in-flight reservations.
The period is the UTC calendar month, not the date your subscription renews. Usage is shared by connections on the same FedFinder account. View it in the Research connector screen or call connection_usage.
Pace requests
Standard OAuth limits apply both to an individual connection and to the account as a whole:
| Plan | Requests per minute per connection | Requests per minute across account |
|---|---|---|
| Research | 30 | 30 |
| Starter | 60 | 60 |
| Pro | 60 | 300 |
| Intel | 120 | 1,200 |
Do not run unbounded loops. Rate-limit responses can carry Retry-After; wait before retrying. An account with a separately entitled API add-on can have a different effective policy. Account-reported usage and limits take precedence over these standard defaults. API-key access has its own policy and is not granted merely by buying Research.
Keep result sets bounded
Research responses with a limit input allow at most 25 records per call. Some other paged tools allow up to 100, but DIBBS remains capped at 25. Use the returned pagination information where supported. A limited page is not a full inventory or proof of complete source coverage.
DIBBS evidence is bounded: long strings can be excerpted and lists limited to 25, with truncation flags where provided. Open source documents before treating an excerpt as a complete requirement set.
The research shortlist holds up to 25 opportunities per account. A duplicate save does not create another slot. Remove a saved opportunity, with your confirmation, to make room. This does not remove the original public notice or a separate pursuit.
